Changes in the rules of Awas Yojana
This scheme has been running for a long time but now some changes have been made to it. Recently, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Madhya Pradesh. During this, he said “Many rules have been changed regarding PM Awas Yojana. Many rules have been removed, so that the benefits of this scheme can reach more and more people. Many conditions kept in this scheme have also been considered.
The Union Agriculture Minister informed us that a new survey is starting once again on October 8. Those who have kutcha houses will be surveyed. Under the PM Awas Yojana, 3.5 lakh houses have been provided in Madhya Pradesh.
A new survey is starting on October 8
The Union Agriculture Minister said “Till now there were many conditions in the house in PM Awas Yojana. Once in 2018, the list of surveys was prepared. The names of many people were not in it. Now after October 8, we are starting a new survey. Those who have kutcha houses will be surveyed. Changes have been made to the rules of the survey. Earlier, when a house was to be provided, there were conditions for it that a person who had a motorcycle or scooter would not get a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but now, if one has a motorcycle or scooter, he will still be given the benefit of a house.
This is how the various rules changed.
Talking about the second rule to avail the benefit of PM Awas Yojana, the second rule was that if the applicant’s income is more than 10 thousand rupees, then the benefit of the house will not be available. At present, this rule has also been removed. Now any applicant whose income is up to 15000 will be provided a house. There was also a rule that even if you have a phone, the house will not be given.
But now even if you have a phone, the house will be given. Along with all these changes, another big change has been seen, according to which if the farmer has irrigated land up to two and a half acres and non-irrigated land up to 5 acres, then he will still be eligible to take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The goal of benefiting more and more people
In such a situation, now the beneficiaries will be able to avail the benefits of the housing scheme as per the changed rules. The government says that the rules have been changed so that the benefits of the scheme can reach more and more people. Such changes have been made under the scheme so that more and more people can get benefits under the scheme.
