Free Bus Pass Haryana: From time to time, new schemes are implemented by the Haryana government for the general public so that the general public can be provided its benefits. New portal started for Happy Card
Yes, the Haryana government has started a free bus pass service. Under this scheme, your pass is made for free and you can travel by bus without fare. Through this card, 22.89 lakh families of Haryana will be benefited. Families of the state whose annual income is Rs 1 lakh or less will be able to take advantage of this scheme. A new portal has been started by the Haryana government for Happy Card, through which people will be able to apply online.
Happy Card will be made separately for each member of the family
To avail the benefits of Happy Card, you have to apply online. Under this card, the beneficiary will get the benefit of free travel of 1000 km every year. Through the Haryana Antyodaya Parivar Parivahan Yojana, beneficiaries will be connected to the e-ticketing system to enjoy free travel in Haryana Roadways buses, and a smart card (Happy Card) will be issued. The Haryana government will spend about Rs 600 crore for this scheme. Under the scheme, a separate Happy Card will be made for each member of the family. The beneficiary will have to pay a fee of ₹50 for the Happy Card, in addition, the cost of the card will be ₹109 and the government will bear a fee of ₹79 for annual maintenance.
Eligibility required for Haryana Happy Card
- To avail the benefits of the scheme, the applicant must be a native of the Indian state.
- Under the scheme, families of Haryana whose annual income is Rs 1 lakh or less will be eligible to avail the benefits.
- Families who come under the Antyodaya category will also be given the benefits of this scheme.

- Family Identity Card (Family ID)
- Aadhaar Card
- Mobile number registered with Aadhaar
- Passport size photo
How to apply for Happy Card online
- To apply for the scheme, first you have to go to the official website of Haryana Transport Department.
- Here on the home page, you have to click on the option of “Apply for Happy Card”.
- Now you have to enter the family identity card number and enter the captcha code.
- Now you have to click on the option of “Send OTP” and verify the OTP.
- After the OTP is verified, the information of all the members of the family will be displayed in front of you.
- Now you have to select the member for whom you want to get the Happy Card made.
- Now you have to enter the mobile number and Aadhar card number.
- You have to enter the captcha code and click on the option of “Send OTP”.
- Now OTP will be sent from Aadhar to the registered number, which you have to fill and verify.
- Now you have to click on the option of “Apply”.
- In this way you can apply for Happy Card.
- After 15 days of applying, you can go to your nearest roadways office and get the Happy Card.
