Free gas chulha yojana: There are many poor people in our country who still cook on the stove. They can also get many diseases due to the smoke coming out of the stove. Girls are also needed to cook food on the stove and it is very difficult to light the fire again and again. In such a situation, our government has come up with a scheme for the poor people. The name of this scheme is Free Gas Chulha Yojana. Under this scheme, gas stove connection will be provided to poor families for free.
The scheme was started in the year 2016
Generally speaking, the prices of gas cylinders are very high. It is very expensive, so not everyone can buy gas cylinders. Keeping this in mind, a scheme has been started by the government for the women of the poor class. Under this scheme, gas cylinders are made available to women for free. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was started by the Prime Minister of our country, Shri Narendra Modi ji on 1 May 2016. This scheme is being run by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Gas cylinder is given for free
PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is being run by the government, through which LPG connection is provided to all the poor families and ration card holder women of the country. The goal behind this scheme is to get women rid of wood, coal stoves and make the environment pollution free. This benefit of gas cylinder is given to all the beneficiaries for free. Under this scheme, gas cylinders are made available to the families of the poor class.
Eligibility required to avail the scheme
- Only women can apply for Ujjwala Yojana.
- The age of the applicant women should be minimum 18 years.
- The applicant should belong to BPL family.
- Women who already have LPG connection will not be eligible to apply in this scheme.
- It is mandatory for the applying woman to have a bank account.

How to apply for free gas stove scheme
- To apply for the Free Gas Stove Scheme, you have to go to your nearest gas agency or get the form from the official website of Ujjwala Yojana.
- If you take the form from the official website, then first of all you have to go to the official website.
- After this, the home page of the website will open in front of you.
- On the home page you will see the option of download form, you have to download the form from there.
- Now you have to take a printout of the application form by clicking on the download option.
- After this, you have to enter all the information asked in the application form.
- Now you have to attach a copy of all your necessary documents with the application form.
- After this, you have to go to your nearest gas agency and submit all the documents.
- When the application is verified, you will be given the benefit of LPG gas connection under this scheme.
