Students pursuing education get incentives from the government
The Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana is being run by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Under this scheme, 82 thousand new scholarships are being provided every year. Students who score good marks in class 12th are provided this scholarship to pursue graduation, post graduation degree and professional courses like medical engineering.
This is how one gets the benefit of scholarship
Under this scheme, an amount of ₹12000 per year is given for the first 3 years of college and university courses at the graduate level. The amount is given on the basis of ₹20000 per year for the course. At the same time, ₹20000 per year is given in the fourth and fifth years of a 5-year course or integrated course. The beneficiary students get scholarship amount at the rate of ₹12000 per year in technical courses like B.Tech B first, second and third year and ₹20000 per year in the fourth year.
Eligibility required to avail the scheme
- Students applying for this scheme should be 12th pass.
- Under this scheme, students should have scored more than 80% marks in class XII examination.
- In this scholarship will be given only to students of full-time degree course.
- The student should be enrolled in institutions recognized by the Act and other related bodies.
- The annual income of the family of the student applying should be maximum 4.5 lakhs.
- The applicant must have a minimum of 50% marks and 75% attendance every year.

How to apply in the scheme
- To apply in this scheme, first of all you have to go to your nearest bank branch.
- After going there, you will have to get the application form of PM Higher Education Promotion Scheme.

- Photocopies of the necessary documents have to be attached with the application form.
- After this, you will have to submit the application form and documents in this bank branch.
- After submitting the form, you will receive a receipt from the bank employees which you have to keep safe with you.
