PM Awas Yojana Installment: A press conference was held in Pusa, New Delhi on behalf of Union Rural Development and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan regarding the program of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. During the press conference, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that our country’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will transfer the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin to the beneficiaries of Jharkhand state on 15 September 2024, to the beneficiaries of Gujarat state on 16 September 2024 and to the beneficiaries of all other states including Odisha on 17 September 2024, in which the election code of conduct is not applicable.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Gramin Yojana was launched for rural families.
That is, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the first installment of the Gramin Yojana from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. All the beneficiaries who will get benefits under this scheme will be given the benefit of this scheme. Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that food, clothing, and housing are the basic needs of the poor. He said that the government is trying to fulfill all the basic needs of poor families. In such a situation, the government has started Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana for those families who do not have a roof over their heads. Under this scheme, families in rural areas will be provided with housing heads.
Approval letters will be distributed to the beneficiaries.
The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute approval letters to about 20,000 beneficiaries of Jharkhand state. Apart from this, an amount of more than Rs 5 crore will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through a single click. Along with this, the griha pravesh of the newly constructed houses of 46,000 beneficiaries will also be done. This is a welfare scheme that will become an inspiration for more implementation of the scheme in the coming days. In the current financial year, a target of 1,13,195 houses has been set for Jharkhand, for which an amount of Rs 187.79 crore has been released.
The Griha Pravesh ceremony will be celebrated in completed houses.
More than 6.50 lakh houses have been constructed in the state of Gujarat in the last ten years. In the current financial year, a target of 54,135 houses has been set for Gujarat, against which an amount of Rs 99.1 crore has been released. During the Prime Minister’s program, an amount of about Rs 93 crore will be transferred to the accounts of 31,000 beneficiaries of the state and the Griha Pravesh ceremony will be celebrated in 35,000 completed houses.
26 lakh beneficiaries will enter new houses with their families
On September 17, 2024, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will organize a national-level program in the state of Odisha, under which acceptance letters will be distributed to 10 lakh beneficiaries of different states. The transfer of the first installment of Rs 3180 crore will be released directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through digital media. After this distribution, 26 lakh beneficiaries will enter their new houses with their families.
