Scholarship available under the SBI Asha Scholarship Scheme
SBI Foundation is a branch of the State Bank of India. This branch is working in more than 28 states and union territories of the country. The main objective of the SBI Foundation is to promote rural development, health care, education, livelihood, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and sports. SBI Foundation has released the notification of the Asha Scholarship Program 2024, in which candidates will be given scholarships up to Rs 70000. Students from class 6 to 12th, college graduates and postgraduates, IIT, IIM can apply for this scholarship.
Eligibility for the scheme
- This scheme is only for Indian citizens.
- It is mandatory for the student to be currently studying from class 6 to 12th.
- Apart from this, students currently pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses from a recognized university or college in India can also apply.
- Along with those listed in the top 100 institutions as per the latest NIRF ranking, candidates pursuing undergraduate courses and MBA or PGDM courses from IIT can also apply.
- To avail of this scholarship, the student must have obtained 75% or more marks in the previous academic year.
- In the case of a student from class 6 to 12th, the family income should be less than Rs 3 lakh, while for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in colleges, the family income should not exceed Rs 6 lakh.
